Thank-you the speed of the sewing machine in question can be incresed or decreased any time by mounting a new slow speed clutch motor,reducing the pully size on motor and increase the pully size of the machine. jenson Quote

Don't know if it's only a problem with mine, but the bearings SUCK, and it takes a minimum of 4-5 pounds of force just to start it turning! I can also feel the bearings grinding, and it looks like they press the axle/bolt through the inner bearing races, effectively ruining the bearings. Lousy design, or assembly, and I wrote a letter to say I'd be returning. Think I may try the 2:1 reducer from Allbrands instead.... Thanks all you guys.... And do you have to grease or lube it somehow? (The 3-pulley one I got off Ebay had ruined bearings when I got it- it took about 4-5 pounds of force just to turn it! JUNK!)
