Members dirtbag77 Posted February 24, 2009 Members Report Posted February 24, 2009 I've been having a lot of trouble with things with initials on them. I want to use an oppossing color, but every time I hit the belt with a finish, and I've tried several now, it wipes off the color. I've even been trying using dye to paint the letters, but the eco-flow stuff wipes away, and my Tandy store only has 3 colors of oil dye, and even then I can't do any outline in any actual colors. It also does it, to some extent, to my antiquing. I know that spraying is an option, but from what I've gathered, a lot of finishes crack when sprayed on. So please, let me know what I'm missing here. Thanks, aaron. Quote

I use Angelus spirit dyes, I love the vivid colors they make and they don't go away or bleed with the finishes I use (Fiebing and the old Tandy antiques). If these are better or worse than others, well I let you tell me what you think:-) http://turtlefeathers.net/text/angelus/dye.html Just scroll down a bit and you'll find the color chart.
