ryano, why would you not use the 794 needle, and use the landis 1 ? :dunno:

Well Luke I have 100 Landis one, number 26, needles for one. I know they are 2 something a piece, but these were free. I wanted this thing to keep sewing an inch. I wanted to use the 1000 H series needles, but I heard they are now discontinued. I may change my mind and go with the 794 needles because I just bought another machine that came with 1000 794 and 7x3 needles.

thanks for the information... I thought i was learning about sewing machine needles.

but just learned.... use what have.

The 794 needles are about 1/4 shorter, and the Landis needles are about 1/4 longer than the 97x4 needles that are used in the 97-10 machine. So to keep the machine sewing an inch of leather I wanted to use the landis needles. If I dropped down to the 794 needles I can only sew 3/4 of material. That's all.

ryano; I think the presser foot that I need is #58929 ( toe at left of needle). Would this foot be the one needed for use with a stirrup plate?
