jamzdean Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 I saw somewhere on here a couple of folks talking about cleaning the veg tan leather before dye is applied I believe lemon juice and or alcohol was mentioned could anyone help me with what is best? Thanks Quote
Members badger Posted March 12, 2009 Members Report Posted March 12, 2009 Hi, You can use lemon juice if you want to go the all natural, no chemical route. Fiebings deglazer is ethyl acetate, which smells pretty strong. Naptha (lighter fluid) is good. Alcohol (99%) is probably the best. There are considerable flammability risks with anything but the lemon juice Cheers, Karl Quote
