Members rickeyfro Posted March 17, 2009 Members Report Posted March 17, 2009 Can anyone give me a clue as to how to make a seat with skirting, I cover all my seats top and bottom and use a mexican round braid to lace them together, is the skirt stitched to the top or bottom before assembly? Or is it laced in with the connecting lace, I cant seem to find a picture that shows it clearly but I think if I can just get a basic assembly procedure I can figue out the details Quote
Members TinyL Posted March 18, 2009 Members Report Posted March 18, 2009 rickeyfro. I'm actually working on a job like that right now. It's in two pieces though, the seat and the skirt piece. For the skirt, I made a pattern from it and laced two pieces together fuzzy sides together. Part of the bottom will be visible so i couldn't use only one piece. The skirt is stamped and just needs to be wet molded at this point. I wanted to finish the seat and then wet mold the skirt while on the bottom of the seat. I'll try to post pix on saturday when I finish. Quote
