tazzmann Report post Posted March 24, 2009 Ok, I have done a search in Zack white catalog, Ohio Travel Bag and even Weaver leather. So where does one find the tri-bolts for the three legged stools? I have someone that would like me to make them one, but I can't seem to find the hardware anywhere. I put a question in another board but no-one seems to want to answer any of my posts so maybe someone will answer this one. Please! Thanks! wildrose Report post Posted March 24, 2009 I'll answer, but it won't help you much: I have no answer. I too wish I could find a supplier. They are great little stools! Last batch I made, someone had custom made the bolts and sent me a few. I think that's really the only option, unfortunately.
tazzmann Report post Posted March 24, 2009 Thanks for the reply wildrose! Does anyone have a picture of one? Maybe I can have my nextdoor neighboor fab me up a few. What size bolt would be best?
oldtimer Report post Posted March 24, 2009 (edited) Thanks for the reply wildrose!Does anyone have a picture of one? Maybe I can have my nextdoor neighboor fab me up a few. What size bolt would be best? My 3-legged stool has 6 mm bolts welded together. I don´t think you can find a tri-bolt commercially, so your neighbour is probably the best solution to your problem. Make sure that the welds are carefully done ! Hitting the ground hurts! Edited March 24, 2009 by oldtimer
UKRay Report post Posted March 24, 2009 If it helps anyone, I have a box of about twenty Tri-Bolts sitting in my workroom here in the UK. I'm happy to ship them anywhere in the world at $6 each plus shipping at cost via PayPal. The shipping is definitely cheaper if you source your own nuts and washers from a local supplier. They cost pennies! Drop me a PM and I'll gladly help where I can. Ray
TheLegend Report post Posted December 19, 2017 Wow!!! This topic is Old. FYI, for anyone, that spots by, and reads any of this. You can purchase, Tribolt Hardware, for the camp stool, at Lee Valley Tools. It's not cheap, but is quality and looks good.
