rookie Report post Posted March 29, 2009 my question to you is how you get color difference in the petals of the flowers......the dark shading partcan you pleas eexplain... BTW NICE JOB it is awesome First went over the leather with deglazer. Then I dyed the background, mixed a couple of fiebings dyes to get the color I wanted. I then put a light coat of neatsfoot oil. After the neatsfoot dryed I applied neat lac with a sheapswool, two light coats. I then went over the entire strap with an antique paste (fiebings) I only tried to get into the cuts. After that dried I airbrushed on two coats of acrylic resolene.

rookie Report post Posted March 29, 2009 Gorgeous!!!Why is yor nick "Rookie" ??? Tom I have only made a handful of things. I have only been doing leather work regularly for about a year. Before that I had only made a couple of belts for myself. So when i joined LW I thought I would label my experience.
