Myriam had an idea for a tool rack. She's always wanting to build things, so I showed her how to use the drill press and hand plane. Here's what she came up with. For a first wood project, I think it came out pretty slick.

I'm thinking of having her make another for me. I have a simpler construction in mind, but basically the same look.

Nice. Very nice. Much better than the one I paid 20 bucks for at TLF. Lateral thinking made the design work out well.

I'm curious? Is the top made of 4x4? Or is it something else?

Not bad! Now you need to cover the ends with some beautifully carved leather.

Thank you, sorethumbs. Yup, the top is a 4x4 of Douglas Fir. Don't know what the 2x4 (used for the base) are.
