i want it to be exactly the same except for the single whole for the rivet, im looking for one that has it on both sides instead of one. so its more strength for my case. can anyone maybe post up a site that would have it or a link please

The part you are looking for is sold seperately and then is coupled with a D ring. It rivets on both side of the D ring and is use mostly for top handle attachments and such.

Weaver leather and Ohio Travel Bag both did have them.

Edited for additional information. Ohio Travel bag catalog number P27 has them listed on page 38 at the bottom of the page starting with stock number L-643. I think they refer to them as Handle Brackets. I believe the last time I bought I used the D-18X which accomodates a 3/4" D

As posted previously Ohio Travel Bag has them. We make our own as well out of tin and glue two pieces of leather to them, one on each side. Alternatively you can use a piece of 8oz and sand/skive it down toward the edges. You just want to make sure that your dee ring is not cutting into the leather. I either grind off any sharp edges or tape over them when using the leather method.
