Members yotebuster1200 Posted April 29, 2009 Members Report Posted April 29, 2009 Ok so I am going to try to post a picture and see what happens, This is the second time I have tried to lay out a carving pattern. and so far I am happy with what I see. I am fairly new at this and if you see things that are not necessarily Sheridan style or places that I could improve I would love to know so I can continue to learn. So please leave me some feed back. I also thought it would be fun to post this picture and then others could finish it however they thought it would look the best and then either post a new picture with their finished pattern or even better tool it an post a picture of the finished piece. Let me know what you think. The paper is just a folded in half piece of copy paper Carving_template2.bmpFetching info... Carving_template2.bmpFetching info... Quote

The change I would make is to enlarge the flower a little. It is small in proportion to the stems. Try to "fill" in the picture as much as you can. The goal is to minimize background and fill with flowers, stems, leaves. Quote

After looking back at the picture I can see what you are saying about the flower needing to be bigger. It is funny how I didn't notice it before but now it kind of sticks out to me. Quote

I would keep it all similar but enlarge the flower about 15%. Let the flower overlap the veins and stems a little. Aaron Quote
