Ambassador pete Posted May 4, 2009 Ambassador Report Posted May 4, 2009 I asked this awhile ago but got no response. I have edgers in #'s 1,2,3,4. If the intent is to knock the shoulders off the leather before burnishing then wouldn't a 1 or 2 work for anything under say, 10/12 oz? I know this is probably stupid from someone who has been doing this for a number of years but I love to hear from someone else. pete Quote
Moderator bruce johnson Posted May 4, 2009 Moderator Report Posted May 4, 2009 Pete, It all depends on the edge you prefer. Some guys like a square edge with the corners rounded off. Others like the edge in a full arc like a half round. Members wildrose Posted May 4, 2009 Members Report Posted May 4, 2009 I have a 2 and 3. I use the 2 for almost anything like wallets and such (thinner weights like 4/5); and the 3 for 6/7 oz and up. That's me. Quote Holly Moore Wild Rose Creations http://www.wrcleather.com
