Violin Pistol Case

Hey folks, I rarely post here in the "show off" catagory, but this turned out to be a neat project. Case is for a SMALL violin (can anyone tell me the proper name of the instrument that fits this case?)

Anyway, the pistol is a Walther P22 (22 caliber). FUN gun, reliable, accurate and FUN (did I mention FUN?!?!?!?!??!?!). I like being able to test drive guns while making leather (yes, I ask the customer first!). A holster and mag pouch finish out the project (not shown, still wet molding!).

Sure its not just a child's violin case? They can be very small.

Thanks for the good words guys....it was a used case I had around in my collection of "treasures" that needed SOMETHING done with it. I saw it, the gun, and saw a PERFECT fit. It was a quicky job, I did have one nicely edged (sewn suede) but the cover would not close, what you see is a super thin piece of bridle atop the fitted suede covered pistol/laser insert. What was the film quote Antonio Banderas "...bring your guitars."??? Now it's "..bring your violin".

I need to get fiddlin'!

Very cool idea. I once posted a photo of a harmonica case on this forum. Mine only held harmonicas.
