NYCGUNLEATHER Report post Posted June 1, 2009 I'm looking for an oblong punch to cut out holster belt slots. The punches from Tandy and Osborne are too thin. Can someone point me in the right direction on where to have a custom punch made. I've been using a round punch on each end and cutting the middle with a razor, it works but there has to be a better way. Thanks. Bill.

sfcdan Report post Posted June 1, 2009 I needed a 2.5" punch made along with dies. Texas Custom Dies made what I needed, I received great products fairly fast. I expected a generic punch but I was surprised how well it was made. I don't have the # at hand but you can find it in the forum if u search it. Hope it helps, Daniel. JohnD Report post Posted June 1, 2009 Daniel, Is this the place? http://www.texascustomdies.com/products.html Do they make punches that you would use with a hammer, or is it only clicker dies? Just curious. John
Leather Bum Report post Posted June 1, 2009 (edited) O'brien Consolidated Industries. The website says, "Oblong , Strap-End and Custom Shapes Made to Order." Also, I believe Brettun's Village Leather sells some tools made by them, including oblong punches here. edit: Upon looking more closely, I'm thinking these might be too narrow as well. . .
