Beener Report post Posted June 11, 2009 Hello everyone. I am returning to the leatherwork industry after almost a full decade off. through the 80's and 90's I worked at and then owned Hockey and Figure Skate sharpening and repair outlets (On Edge Skate Specialists! - Universal Sports Repair). In these establishments we offered skate repair, equipment repair and refurbishing that included loads of leather work of all different facets but also skate sharpening. Anyway's long story short, I have a 29K58 patcher and not much else and I am going to restart my leatherwork hobby/carreer and I am stumped in the name department. I have motorcycle and scooter riding friends and would imagine that I would get involved in that type of work, I also still know people at the rinks and would imagine that I might do some of that but I wouldn't mind making the odd handbag either so some form of jazziness to the name wouldn't hurt either. It's just tough to try to encompass all the facets of the business in one catchy slogany type name. What do you call yourselves??? And am I making too much out of this...? rdb Report post Posted June 11, 2009 Awhile back we had this thread: http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?s...=maker%27s+mark It gives a good idea why people use the maker's stamps they do, and their reasoning behind it.
