JohnBarton Posted May 27, 2011 Report Posted May 27, 2011 I send my customers there all the time. It saves me from having to do all the work showing them their name in different letter styles. I tell them to go to www.dafont.com and pick the font they like. Works great. Quote Support Quality. We are all humans. Buy the best no matter where it's made. That way everyone lives in harmony. Members Coltx351 Posted November 27, 2014 Members Report Posted November 27, 2014 Know that this post is pretty old however have been looking in dafont for something for my current project. I've realized that the tandy lettering stamps just seem cheesy to me now and would like to sk and bevel all my lettering moving forward. The question now is which one to use??? Have any of you found a font that seems to tool fairly easily? I've seen so many different ones on other peoples projects that I like but have yet to see something similar in dafont. Hoping that someone would be willing to share 2 or 3 that you have used in the past and worked well. Quote
NVLeatherWorx Posted November 28, 2014 Report Posted November 28, 2014 I still use the lettering that is contained within the book Alphabets for the Leather Craftsman available through Tandy's Leathercraft Library as a downloadable purchase. I have had this book since it was published and it hasn't failed me yet. Even includes tips and tricks on how to properly carve the letters, adjust their sizing, and coloring. Doesn't cost an arm and a leg and is well worth every penny. Quote Richard Hardie R. P. Hardie Leather Co. R. P. Hardie Leather Co. - OnlineR. P. Hardie Leather Co on Facebook
