First seat finished

Recommended Posts

Well this was my first attempt at covering a seat with leather...made the seat pan out of fiber glass and laid neoprene for the rubber. The lace is Kangaroo with a double lace stitch.

That looks really good HOG. I think maybe a basketweave would make it look a tad better just in the lacing department but over all looks really good IMHO. Also best of all it fits the bike very well.

Im sorry Im in idiot, the seat looks great, what I was commenting on was the lacing. I wanted to say mexican round braid or whatever its called. I just like that round effect of that type of lacing.

I dont know why I said basketweave, your seat covering looks great as is.

As far as basket weave it takes a few tries but you can get ahang of it after a little practice.

Hello Max,

your seat looks great

but I think for long distances you need a iron ass....

I've actually found it easier than double loop lacing.

The seat looks great!
