Members gesmith40 Posted July 24, 2009 Members Report Posted July 24, 2009 I am new into the leather staining/coloring arena, so please excuse me if this is a dumb question. Is it OK (and/or recommended) to clean and reuse the wool daubers or sheep wool pieces used to apply stains? If so, what is the best way to clean these? Thanks. Quote
Contributing Member rdb Posted July 24, 2009 Contributing Member Report Posted July 24, 2009 I don't know of anyone who does, but I do put my dyes into a bottle big enough to keep the daubers in with the jar lid on (B&M Bean jars work good.). That way, they stay wet, and last a very long time. Quote
rhall Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 I do clean my SW patches with Soap/water and Auto hand cleaners after use and allow them to dry,you can reuse them quite a while.I use a tyrap on the bottles with a picture hook to hang my daubers on that way you can reuse them multiple times.
