whitebeard Report post Posted August 14, 2009 Hi I'm Dave and I live in the UK I got into working with leather a few years ago when we were reenacting - new job and lack of money put that on hold though. It was nothing special, just a few pouches, bags and a quiver for my son - and all very plain. Earlier this year I purchased a basic tooling kit and from the start I was hooked. I found this site after a google search and already have learnt some things, just from looking around. I'm really looking forward to picking your brains as I want to learn more. My daughter wants a guitar strap and a friend wants a cigarette packet holder - complete with skull and crossed bones on, so I have plenty to keep me going for now. I can see so many possiblities......
TwinOaks Report post Posted August 14, 2009 Welcome to Leatherworker.net! We've got quite a few members from the UK on here, so there's a fair chance you might get to meet some folks face to face ( I mean, it's such a small island and all, you just might know them ). Give us some ideas of what your projects entail and we'll be glad to help you out on them. Heck, ask any ol' question and we'll try to answer it!
