Vikti Report post Posted August 15, 2009 I have a friend who want me to make them a brown pouch but the only brown dye I have is Eco Flow, will putting a coating of Leather Sheen on it prevent or retard the dye from bleeding and fading? I just don't have the time right now to go to Ft Worth and get some Fiebings and I'm just trying to work with what I have. Damon
TwinOaks Report post Posted August 15, 2009 No, the leather sheen ( IIRC) is water soluble and will not suffice as a sealant/top coat for anything exposed to weather.
CitizenKate Report post Posted August 16, 2009 Use a wax finish for water-soluble dyes. Kate
Vikti Report post Posted August 16, 2009 Thanks. I'll try to convince him to go black unless he can wait until next weekend when I can make it to either HC or TLF Take care all. Damon
