NEED HELP TO ATTATCH CONCHAS

I am making a concha belt for a customer..

The conchas are the SLOTTED type..

What is the best way to attatch them to the belt ???????

Ex: With one long continue piece of thin leather going through the conchaos, than rivet at both ends ????

ALL HELP ACCEPTED......

Sounds like you figured out what you need to do with those slotted conchos. Most conchos that I have ever used on belts and most all the other leather projects I've put out, I have always used screw back [chicago screw type].

You may end up having to return those and replace them with the screw backs.

The way you attach them to saddles is by using a bleed knot in the strings. Whether or not that will work for your belt depends on the design of the belt. But I think it could look pretty cool to have strings hanging from each concho. Use really nice saddle strings of course since they would end up as a fairly prominent part of the design.
