Members Pauly Posted March 24, 2008 Members Report Posted March 24, 2008 Here's a couple of snaps of my bike seat I've finished over Easter. I've done a bunch of wallets and belts but this has been my most challenging project and despite any flaws I was just wrapped that it worked and I didn't rip up my seat in vain. Special thanks to RockyWolf & ChaChi for their advice I needed a little nudge to get started. I'll have to make another cause I'm sure I could do better next time.....of course nothing ever looks as good as it could next time. Quote
Members RockyWolf Posted March 24, 2008 Members Report Posted March 24, 2008 That's the way to go Pauly nice work mate.. I'm very keen on that compass l like that very much..right back to the bench then I'm flat out myself at the moment. It was worth the little nudge to get you going and there be no stopping you now..I'll be keeping my eyes open for your next seat then Pauly oh if Anne or yourself could can some of that good weather and post it to the UK that would be wayout as a little sunshine would put a smile on my face at the moment Iv missed all the snow but the poor old UK Northerns have it all...lol dig in..... Ambassador Beaverslayer Posted March 24, 2008 Ambassador Report Posted March 24, 2008 Well that's about he coolest thing I've seen in a while now. I always thought about doing one of those and taking it around to all the Bicycle shops but never got around to it. I think you've got a winner there. Ken Quote
Members Spider Posted March 25, 2008 Members Report Posted March 25, 2008 I like your seat. Looks good. I was thinking of doing this too but wasn't sure how the market was for the seats. I'll keep it in mind but yours looks good. Quote
Members Pauly Posted March 25, 2008 Author Members Report Posted March 25, 2008 Thanks everyone for your words. Hopefully now I've got a show piece I might open up a new market for some extra cash which would be cool since they are so fun to make. The only problem being it took ages to make so I'll probably end up charging $4 an hour. I'll be trying to sell a seat that could be more expensive than the whole bike. Won't be quitting my day job in a hurry!! When the rain stops I'll be out there polishing the seat with my butt in the Melbourne traffic. Thanks guys. Quote
