Members camarko Posted October 13, 2009 Members Report Posted October 13, 2009 Hi all- Just wondering if anyone has experience working with, or a source for equileather (or a comparable product). I have a client with a synthetic wintec jumping saddle and they'd like a bridle to go with it; I thought it might be a fun project. I'm having trouble, however, locating a source of equileather (which is actually pretty nice, from looking at the saddle. Much nicer than the biothane bridles I've seen). If you've got any ideas, I'd really appreciate it! Marko Quote
Moderator Art Posted October 13, 2009 Moderator Report Posted October 13, 2009 Hi Marko, Weaver sells a product called Brahma Webb which is Textured PVC over polyester webbing. It comes in Black and Brown in 1/2" to 2" widths and makes a decent looking headstall. I do not know how it wears. It almost looks like leather and is quite strong. It sews ok, but I don't know if it requires any special glues. Call Weaver. Art Hi all- Just wondering if anyone has experience working with, or a source for equileather (or a comparable product).
