Members ebarber Posted December 12, 2009 Members Report Posted December 12, 2009 I want to start reinforcing my gun belts. Does anyone have a good source for plastic reinforcements for gun belts? I have a piece out of an old Acker that I tore apart but I have no clue as to what kind it is. Polycarbonate maybe? Thanks Eric Quote

Ive been browsing www.professionalplastics.com but there are so many different kinds. I dont know for sure what will work and what wont. I was wondering how thick it was as well. It says it's great for belts, and that it cuts easily, so I would guess it's relatively thin. Hidecrafter also has what I assume is the same thing for a little bit cheaper- http://www.hidecrafter.com/hci/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=1096&category_id=60&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=35 Quote
Members dmr400 Posted December 13, 2009 Members Report Posted December 13, 2009 Kydex is what is used by most of the stiffened gun belt makers I am familiar with. Not sure what thickness. Quote
