tgidry Report post Posted December 16, 2009 Okay... I've got the machine and I've downloaded manuals that I thought would help but it was parts manuals. The only "User Manual" that I found was for the 29-4. Will this be useful for me? Regardless I am in need of "Machine Threading Knowledge". I've read other post including the one about threading the Adler but I'm not having any success. I do have the correct needles and thread. celticleather Report post Posted December 16, 2009 (edited) I've attached a pdf of the user manual for the 29K71 and 29K73, but the procedure for the 29K72 is exactly the same. You will need (or may already have) a threading wire, about 1mm thick and 12" long, with a v-shaped slit in the end, to get the thread through the vertical tunnel in the needle bar. Hope this helps! Terry Whoops . . . the file was too big! Here's the second part! It seems that I had the needle was 180 degrees off (bad lighting & eyes LOL). Right now I'm in the process of adjusting the tension so these manuals will come in handy. Thanks again. suem Report post Posted November 22, 2010 (edited) Just remember, there are two ways to thread it, one for regular sewing and one for darning apparently. I've been looking for a good manual myself for awhile, this is the best I found off the smithsonian site, apparently all the 29K thread similarly. Hope this helps. I have a better quality one but it can't be that big for this attachment. 29k compressed manual.pdf Edited November 22, 2010 by suem
