sirtimbly Report post Posted December 23, 2009 I made set of coasters as Christmas presents for some family members. This was basically just a way to get used to tooling, and some basics. Thinking these could have used some sort of wood or cork backing, but too late now, they are already shipped. So, I thought I would just take a moment to share my first attempts - this is so much fun, thanks. Patterns are Al Stohlman.
ClayB Report post Posted December 23, 2009 For a first project, those are pretty dang good, especially the roses. I still have trouble with roses. And by giving them to family members, there's a pretty good chance that they'll be around forever!! Twenty years from now, just try and get something like that back from them (especially if one of them is your mom), it aint gonna happen Thanks for sharing pictures of your work. I hope we'll get to see lots more in the future. Merry Christmas

It's funny, but people who've bought coasters from us the previous year will often stop by & say that they won't let anyone use them because they like them so much they don't want them to get wet or dirty... go figure... russ
