Vintage Wade saddle?

Recommended Posts

I have a tooled black saddle with a red seat. It is stamped 1423 as well as on the right stirrup leather(fender I think it's called) area it is stamped with a W and a saddle kind of over/in the W. I am wondering what type of saddle this is? I was told it may be a vintage Wade saddle...I have searched and searched the internet for info or another saddle like it and can find none. It's really comfy and I'd like to figure out who made it or what it's called. Thanks in advance.

I've attached pics. It is actually marked 1432 not 1423. Thanks!wadeleft.jpgwadestamp.jpg

IMHO Just a run of the mill factory production saddle era..1960 's ( my guess) not sure of the maker.. Definitely not related to any "wade" The red seat leather sure hasn't faded! If you are lucky it may have a rawhided tree but without looking I would guess canvas covered...
