tool bag question

i got the motorcycle pattern pack from tandy for christmas. i am wanting to try my first toolbag. On the pattern it didnt give the full length for the strap that attaches it to the bike is this different for each bike or is there a general length.

not doing it for a certian bike just to practice have had some request to make some.

I would make it long, that way you could use it to show how it would look on a variety of bikes.When you start getting orders definitely custom make it to their bike.

I always measure the bike I'm making the bag for, that way you get the correct length, remember also where it will attach will determine the direction of the straps. (this is something most people don't think about),

If you are must making it to try out the pattern and as a sample, make the straps at least 12" long, that why they should fit just about any application.
