Members corter Posted January 13, 2010 Members Report Posted January 13, 2010 I'm looking to make some screw back conchos out of old coins. I've been looking and looking for any help, and just can't find it. So i'm wondering if anyone has any resources? I figure there's only a couple steps, doming the coin and then attaching the screwback, which would maybe be done with a soldering iron? any help would be awesome! Quote
Frank Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 Someone posted this on here a while back, not too sure who but thank him. I downloaded it when I saw it.index.pdf index.pdf Quote

Frank Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 No problem at all. Thank Bob Stelmack for doing the tutorial. I'm just a pack rat for info so I had to save it even though I have no intentions of making conchos. I figured somewhere down the line someone could use it. Quote
Members Bromius Posted January 20, 2010 Members Report Posted January 20, 2010 Is there any special type of solder that is used to do this? Quote
Members JRedding Posted January 20, 2010 Members Report Posted January 20, 2010 search Alltribes, they sell native american jewelry but they do sell screw back coin conchas most of the time. There's a lot of catagories to search through but I think they're found along with concha belts or something like that. Quote
