corter Report post Posted January 13, 2010 I'm looking to make some screw back conchos out of old coins. I've been looking and looking for any help, and just can't find it. So i'm wondering if anyone has any resources? I figure there's only a couple steps, doming the coin and then attaching the screwback, which would maybe be done with a soldering iron? any help would be awesome! Frank Report post Posted January 13, 2010 No problem at all. Thank Bob Stelmack for doing the tutorial. I'm just a pack rat for info so I had to save it even though I have no intentions of making conchos. I figured somewhere down the line someone could use it. Bromius Report post Posted January 20, 2010 Is there any special type of solder that is used to do this?
JRedding Report post Posted January 20, 2010 search Alltribes, they sell native american jewelry but they do sell screw back coin conchas most of the time. There's a lot of catagories to search through but I think they're found along with concha belts or something like that.
