Members azrider Posted January 17, 2010 Members Report Posted January 17, 2010 This is a gift for my nephew, who is just finding out about all the cool family history. The design for the wallet is mine. I tried something different on this piece, and mixed dye into the oil. This made the color consistant, and very easy to apply. The only down side with dying this way, is that different hides absorb oil differntly, so the guts for the wallet are not all the same color. Feedback welcome. Jaymack Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 (edited) A great gift. Once I get a litttle better, I plan on tooling my family clan's crest on something. Thanks for showing your wallet off! This is my Clan's crest. I have some ideas on how to carve and tool this, but I'm not sure how I'm going to do the fire.
