Members ChuckBurrows Posted January 17, 2010 Members Report Posted January 17, 2010 (edited) I've been asked many times about doing private tutoring via the web or by mail and would like to ask if anyone else here has experience with doing such? Main questions are on the business end such as how much to charge? By the hour or? etc. Edited January 17, 2010 by ChuckBurrows Quote
King's X Posted January 18, 2010 Report Posted January 18, 2010 Chuck: If you get a chance, I would suggest you email Chan Geer, George Hurst or even Chuck Smith. I have heard in the past that they have all done long distance tutoring and instruction, as well as, evaluation of work of students. I know of one of the above persons did not charge for another person to spend a week with him. I wish you luck. Quote
Moderator Johanna Posted January 18, 2010 Moderator Report Posted January 18, 2010 If you want to sell lessons online, take a look at the site Kate built for Paul Burnett http://paintingcow.com It's automated so that when someone sends money they get a link to download the selections they picked out. If you want to take on a student one-on-one, you're going to need to figure out how much the experience is going to cost you before you make any estimates. Johanna Quote
King's X Posted January 18, 2010 Report Posted January 18, 2010 Thanks Johanna....I didn't even think about Mr. Burnett's online shop. Good one. Quote
