King's X Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 Google: Buckaroo gear. I was doing some research yesterday on Vintage Vaquero Tooled saddles and found some gear that look a lot like this. Of course, some braiders on here may chime in. Quote
Members rawhide1 Posted January 23, 2010 Members Report Posted January 23, 2010 I really can't see the headstall that well. From what I can make out it looks like a round braid with a bunch of pineapple knots. I will try and google buckaroo gear when I get some time. Maybe I will be able to see a better picture. Or maybe someone else has some ideas. Mike Quote
Members entiendo Posted January 23, 2010 Members Report Posted January 23, 2010 I really can't tell much either, I can only tell it's braided. The only Bruce Grant book I own is "How to Make Cowboy Gear" but there are a couple of bridles in there you can work from, then add your pineapple knots. The pineapple knots may be a bit tricky though, because you will want to add them in a way so that you can still have a wide range of adjustments. Quote
