i make a small hole then @1/4" back i make the slot by connecting 2 larger holes. i then cut the gap between the small hole and the slot, this is where the strap will rest when put on and is very secure. it takes a little break-in but i've made lots of these and never got one back, sometimes the girls will want a snap instead.
