If you are using Photoshop try going into Image and reduce the size of the photos. Your pixels should be fine as you are uploading JPEGs and they are automatically 72dpi. Can't wait to see more. dirtclod Report post Posted February 11, 2010 Much better with the smaller pictures. My suggestion would be lower your buckles it looks like they are set to high. From looking at the picture it looks like you will be setting on the top buckle. Not sure if that will bother you or not. And i would make the under layment under the yokes and sheilds smaller. Maybe stick out 1/2 inch instead of what looks like a inch. That way the shield under layment wouldn't run into the top piece and have to be trimed to fit. Great job though for a first pair of chaps. This cuts back on looking natural to me. Just my opinion, I'm not exactly an expert. You have certainly gotten your tooling down though, I love the trout you did, makes me want to get out my fishing tackle! It looks as though you placed a sealer like Super Shene or Neatlac as a protective coating over the natural leather. I sometimes do the same thing. Storm Timdreamer, none offense taken Storm, the veg tan has an antique and a finish, but the hair on hide doesn't have any, I think that is what was implied since it looks so glossy in the photos.
