Members BillinOK Posted February 16, 2010 Members Report Posted February 16, 2010 Well, I'd love to watch it, BUT I live out in the country at the end of the DSL line. So it's slow downloading, too slow. If I try to watch the video it buffers about every 5 seconds. Has anybody made a DVD and be willing to send me one? I would sure pay for it to be sent. Quote

Sorry, no DVD available - at least not yet... The video should actually be downloading - if you leave the window open in the background, it should continue downloading. Give it 5 or 10 minutes, then come back to it - it might be downloaded by then and you can watch it without interruption. My parents had the same problem. DSL that is WAY less than what they're actually paying for... Quote Eric Adamswww.adamsleatherworks.com | Facebook | YouTube | Instagram

Members BillinOK Posted February 16, 2010 Members Report Posted February 16, 2010 After 3 1/2 hours I got to see it. Very well done. It's always interesting, after doing leatherwork for years, you can always pick up something new or different from someone else. Thanks for posting an excellent presentation. Quote

Members olliesrevenge Posted February 17, 2010 Members Report Posted February 17, 2010 (edited) Eric, I just watched your video for about the 5th time and I have another question. It appears that in the process of cutting the stitch grooves you are creating grooves in all areas EXCEPT where there will be stitching. This seems particularly evident in the area around the rear belt loop where the two halves are folded together and stitched. Is this because your Tippmann Boss sewing machine creates it's own stitch groove as it stitches? Always curious about the details, Lance Edited February 17, 2010 by olliesrevenge Quote

This seems particularly evident in the area around the rear belt loop where the two halves are folded together and stitched. Is this because your Tippmann Boss sewing machine creates it's own stitch groove as it stitches? Always curious about the details, Lance Lance - you are correct. I'm not cutting a groove anywhere that I'll be stitching - they're just decorative cuts. Reason being - the Boss does a good job with the stitches on the front side, and if I were to cut a groove on the back side, it'd be VERY difficult to align the stitches with the groove. If I were hand stitching, I could angle the awl to align with the groove. But with a machine, I'd rather just make the grooves decorative and let the machine do it's own thing. The machine does a pretty good job of flattening out the stitching on the back side. Quote Eric Adamswww.adamsleatherworks.com | Facebook | YouTube | Instagram
