Jaymack Posted February 16, 2010 Report Posted February 16, 2010 I am going to carve the Logo of my company. My company is Spartan Structures and I have attached the logo. I would like to carve the helmet to look like scarred, pitted metal. I am looking for suggestions on how to tool the helmet. Thanks, John Quote

Members CitizenKate Posted February 16, 2010 Members Report Posted February 16, 2010 LOL That's so funny... I saw that title and thought to myself, there's a question for Mr. Post-Apocalypse... and then I saw who make the first reply! Also, you can give leather more of a kind of hammered look using a pear shader like a matting tool. A combination of the two stamps would probably give you the look you're after. Kate Quote
dirtclod Posted February 16, 2010 Report Posted February 16, 2010 You could take a nail and turn it upside down and make round dents. Different size dents with different size nails. You could make longer dents like it was hit by a sword with a bent nail and just hit part of it. If you don't want to buy the other tools if you don't have them already. John Quote
