rgerbitz Report post Posted January 12, 2008 Does anyone have any books by Gail Hought. Are they worth the price? Thank you all. Rob
rawhide1 Report post Posted January 12, 2008 rgerbitz I have her book on building romel reins and think it was worth the price. But I would caution anyone that is just starting out against buying her books out of order as they seem to reference back to previous books on building certian knots. By the time I paid for the book $49.00 or so and shipping $8 to $10 from Mrs Houghts site the total was 58 to 60 dollars. I just found another site www.macphersonleather.com that offered her books for $35.50 plus shipping I think $10.00 so it would be cheaper there but i've never bought from them. I hope this helps Mike
Elton Joorisity Report post Posted January 12, 2008 I own them and YES they are deffinitely worth it. Gail is an excellent teacher. She shows each pass of a knot in a different color and explains how to expand knots further. All in all they are very easy to follow and learn from. Cora Report post Posted January 13, 2008 I also have the books and feel that they are worth every penny, but they do reference from each other so have the whole set would be ideal. Cora
skinner Report post Posted January 29, 2008 I have a couple of her books on bosal work and find them a good reference . Got in a stump on a heel knot and gave her a call and she was very helpful to get me lined out. LIKE ANY BRAID BOOK IT TAKES some learning to follow the diagrams. skinner
