Members walletman Posted April 12, 2008 Members Report Posted April 12, 2008 hi do,s any one know how to get tortoise effect on veg tan leather thanx walletman (bob) Quote
Members TomBanwell Posted April 12, 2008 Members Report Posted April 12, 2008 I've gotten a similar look to tortoise shell by making a stencil and airbrushing through it. The stencil should be held slightly above the leather so the dye bleeds under it and gives a soft edge. Shift the stencil slightly and spray again with a second color. Quote

SCOUTER Posted April 14, 2008 Report Posted April 14, 2008 Hey Bob, Alot of us get the tortoise shell effect when we don't want the tortoise shell effect! Like when we try to seal some colors that aren't compatible with our topcoat. When that happens we call it an "effect". Quote
