Birds Eye Braid

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if anyone could provide me with the sequence for the birds eye braid. If possible, in both 12 and 16 plait. Also, if anyone knows of any online sites that have sequences for other fancy braids.

I appreciate any help - Brian

Sorry I forgot about this link:

The only problem there is that I can't get that to work for me. How do you set the colors up along the top? Also. do you go from the right side two plaits, then from the left two plaits?

Hopefully I remember this correctly. If, for instance, you want a red braid with blue eyes all the strings in your left hand would be red. In you right hand the colors, begining at the top, would be ordered red, blue, red, blue, red, blue for twelve strands, two more following the same pattern for sixteen strands.

Two strands in a row are worked from each side before moving to the other side, following the patterns in the post you linked. Just to prevent confusion in that post when I said right I didn't mean to move strands right, I was refering to which hand they are in.
