Members littlelou Posted April 30, 2010 Members Report Posted April 30, 2010 Hi, I am about to try leatherwork for the first time and want to make some slobber straps. I have read the tutorial on hand stitching, which was excellent, and have bought myself a stitching pony, thread, needles and an awl. The leather I have available is dyed through 3mm thick but I am not sure if this is suitable. Any advice on the leather I should be using? I have also been searching for a pattern on here and noticed one the other day but can`t find it now! If someone knows where the pattern is can they let me know please. Any information regarding leather, technique, pattern etc would be extremely welcome. Quote

Do the patterns come with advice on the thickness/type of leather which is best to use? If not I would appreciate your advice on this. Thanks again. Quote
