littlelou Report post Posted April 30, 2010 Hi, I am about to try leatherwork for the first time and want to make some slobber straps. I have read the tutorial on hand stitching, which was excellent, and have bought myself a stitching pony, thread, needles and an awl. The leather I have available is dyed through 3mm thick but I am not sure if this is suitable. Any advice on the leather I should be using? I have also been searching for a pattern on here and noticed one the other day but can`t find it now! If someone knows where the pattern is can they let me know please. Do the patterns come with advice on the thickness/type of leather which is best to use? If not I would appreciate your advice on this. Thanks again.
