The piece isn't finished yet, but the knot is. It took 3 hrs just to paint! but I loved every minute of it <3

Interested to see what your making with it. That does look like alot of detail painting. I dont even think I could lay out that pattern without messing it up lol.

I will post when it is done - hubby is the one constructing it.

It's going to be a waist cincher with belts in the front. The circle in the center will be at the middle of the lady's back.

I drew out half of it free hand, straightened some of the parralell lines, then used a lightbox and markers to make the other half exactly the same. It took 4 sheets of paper taped together! Then that went on the tracing paper, then finally unto the leather - then the three hours of painting. That's how I laid it out with very few mistakes. There are a few places that don't look quite the mirror image but it's all good.
