Freedom Report post Posted May 25, 2010 Obtained an old saddle and needs oiled but don"t know what kind to use or how much. Without seeing the saddle and how dry it really is... I would use "SKidemore's" leather cream... IMO it is the best leather conditioner available. If you go with neats foot make sure you get %100 pure. NOT that compound stuff they sell. Art Report post Posted May 26, 2010 Pecard's Montana Pitchblend Bee Natural #1 Saddle Oil Fiebing's Aussie Skidmore's (Restoration and Cream are the same thing) If you can't find any of the above (you're really not trying): Dr. Jackson's Hide Rejuvenator at Tandy I don't use Neatsfoot anymore. David Genadek Report post Posted May 27, 2010 Obtained an old saddle and needs oiled but don"t know what kind to use or how much. If you check with the tanners council I beleave they will tell you 100% neatsfoot oil would be the best followed by some fish oils that you probable wouldn't be able to get.
