MADMAX22 Posted June 13, 2010 Report Posted June 13, 2010 Grabbing a airbrush set will be your best bet. Other then that I think I have scene some printed leather but it is upholstery or chap style leather. Quote
Members olliesrevenge Posted June 14, 2010 Members Report Posted June 14, 2010 I want to try and camo a belt and sheath - any ideas Duracoat Peel & Spray templates are available at this site... http://lauerweaponry.com/item-detail-colorchoice.cfm?category=240&colortype=pattern&CFID=46461094&CFTOKEN=91562758 ... obviously you wouldn't want to use Duracoat firearms finish on the leather, but I suppose you could try airbrushing the camo colors on over the template. I have never tried it and don't know if it would bleed under the template. Some of the patterns have big individual colored areas (ie, woodland), but a finer pattern like digital camo might work on a belt and sheath. FWIW, thats my idea... Quote
Members AHBH Posted June 14, 2010 Author Members Report Posted June 14, 2010 (edited) Thanks I was thinking of using maybe three or four colours of dye in no particular pattern Edited June 14, 2010 by AHBH Quote
MADMAX22 Posted June 15, 2010 Report Posted June 15, 2010 Thanks I was thinking of using maybe three or four colours of dye in no particular pattern I could see how that work pretty good also. I think if you want the clean crisp lines then a temp-let and airbrush would work the best, but doing it by hand with a rough around the edges look and a few colors may work pretty good. Be sure to post how it comes out. Quote
Members BigRiverLeather Posted June 24, 2010 Members Report Posted June 24, 2010 Intersting thought. I could see trying out a camo holster in "my spare time" Brownells has some less expensive templates in several different patterns. http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=26813/Product/CAMOUFLAGE_STENCILS Quote
