The Stohlman book"How to make holsters" has one in that style. If you go to CAScity (The Leather Shop) and do a search on "Wild Bunch" holsters, you'll find a gold mine. The "Wild Bunch" is a new shooting group in the CAS , and is based on the movie of the same name.Shooters must dress like characters in the movie and one of the guns is a 1911.Just for thought, the typical trigger guard cutout you see on Western style holsters is still used sometimes on the 1911's, and while that could present a safety issue on everyday carry, in CAS the guns MUST be unloaded until you are at the line so no walking around cocked and locked with an exposed trigger.Dave

Here's one I whipped up pretty quick to serve as a range holster......with a little stamping/bling it could be made into a Western style......it has a simple belt loop....
