Members wildrose Posted July 11, 2010 Members Report Posted July 11, 2010 I've been cutting my own strips for mystery braid bracelets for a while now - they sell like hotcakes around here! - but always dread staining them because it's messy and time consuming to get to the sides and insides while the strip flops around in my hand or on the dye table (yes I wear gloves). Suggestions? I should add that I usually use either a dauber or sponge tip brush to apply the dye/stain. Quote
Timd Posted July 11, 2010 Report Posted July 11, 2010 (edited) I haven't done anything as short as a bracelet, but I do alot of purse straps. What I do is lay the 3 strips side by side with the edges standing up, and just run the dauber along all 3 sides at once, then flip it over and do it again. When you do that, it usually opens the ends enough to get inside there too. Edited July 11, 2010 by Timd Quote
