Members 276ccm Posted July 22, 2010 Author Members Report Posted July 22, 2010 Thanks a lot! Got a few bether photos.. I will also add one more thing and I have ordered some chemicals to test this thing out.. it may or may not work, but it´s worth a try! :-) Also testing some color techniques for my next one.. it´ll look old and dirty, but still very shiny.. Members nogg Posted July 27, 2010 Members Report Posted July 27, 2010 I love the No Virgin seat, how did the coloring, with air-brush? And what do you use, any leather dye? Thanks Quote www.nogg.hu www.noggdesign.blogspot.com
Members 276ccm Posted July 27, 2010 Author Members Report Posted July 27, 2010 Thanks a lot! Yea, on this seat I used an airbrush to color the seat.. layer by layer.. I use a danish brand of dye called Narvesvaerte :-) I´m very satisfied with it! Quote Blog: http://276ccm.blogspot.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/276ccm
Members 276ccm Posted August 18, 2010 Author Members Report Posted August 18, 2010 Added some dye to a new seat I´m working on.. trying to get it look a little old and worn.. Didn´t want a motive on this one.. But I can´t decide what kind of licing I should use.. it´ll be simple I think, but what color.. any idea? :-) Quote Blog: http://276ccm.blogspot.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/276ccm
Members TroyS Posted August 18, 2010 Members Report Posted August 18, 2010 I think just a simple "XXXXXXXXX" would look great! In 3/16" Natural colored lace. It'll go well with the antique look (which I think kicks total )!!! Quote Troy
Members 276ccm Posted August 18, 2010 Author Members Report Posted August 18, 2010 Thanks.. I have already started hehe.. I used the "XXXXXX" stitches and tested a few lines with natural, but I was afraid it looked a little too "new" so I dyed it dark brown.. I like the contrast with natural on a brown seat, but... :-) I only had 3mm licing.. it could have been a little wider, but no time to get some new.. I think (hope) it´ll work as it is.. Members 276ccm Posted August 20, 2010 Author Members Report Posted August 20, 2010 And the result... tata: I have already started on a new seat... which have to be finished, or at least look finished this weekend.. I will also ad more graphic to the skull.. And as for now my bathroomfloor is working as a working area.. finishing up some stuff.. :-) Quote Blog: http://276ccm.blogspot.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/276ccm
Members 276ccm Posted August 20, 2010 Author Members Report Posted August 20, 2010 (edited) oh, and then done.. I used the suede part of the leather on the undeside.. never tried that before.. I will add a lot of leather grease to it and polish it real well prevent it from sucking up water..
