29-4 Repairs

Recommended Posts

OK Masters in sewing machines. HELPnotworthy.gif Steve w/Cobra told me this thing is worth fixin' so here goes. The upper thread is constantly snagging in the shuttle. I have taken all the shuttle assembly apart looking for a reason for the slop (thought it was excessive wobble). Could not find anything obvious, just a couple small burrs.

Filed the burrs smooth...reassembled as best as I could. Tiny screw in the shuttle shaft was broken so I must order one from Pilgrim tomorrow. I don't know if anything has been solved. Killing my business. Got to have a patching machine (I do patches...duh). ?Want to purchase a new motor assembly and get off the treadle.

As usual right now, money is very tight. I need your thoughts. Very grateful, Phillip

Phllip while you are at it go on and get a new shuttle and bobbin, then you will know that part will be right.

Thanks Luke. I'll order it tomorrow. What are your thoughts on a post machine for sewing patches?

Phillip
