Members ShortBBL Posted August 30, 2010 Members Report Posted August 30, 2010 (edited) I would like to add a loop of leather to hold the popular fire rods... Like the Light-my-fire ones. How do you guys do that? Thanks! Edited August 30, 2010 by ShortBBL Quote http://www.peterscustomleather.com
Members hushnel Posted August 30, 2010 Members Report Posted August 30, 2010 I would like to add a loop of leather to hold the popular fire rods... Like the Light-my-fire ones. How do you guys do that? Thanks! I cut the welt for the width of the loop inlay, skive the loop leather so it is as thick as the welt, then glue it in, as I do with the welt then stitch it up. Seems like the way to do it but I couldn't tell you for sure. It works for me. Quote

Don't be afraid to make the boo-boos....that's how you learn. The notching out of the welt is how I do them too.....works fine. Quote Raybanwww.rgleather.net
