vragenvuur Report post Posted September 13, 2010 I am looking for: a manual Adler 105-64 FREE ARM/Cylinder arm, heavy duty sewing machine, written in englisch, german or dutch. Can somebody tell me also about needles 328 CF (what kind of needle-point and what kind of materials and thickness?) . Is it possible to sew leather with these needles? Trox Report post Posted September 23, 2010 I am looking for: a manual Adler 105-64 FREE ARM/Cylinder arm, heavy duty sewing machine, written in englisch, german or dutch. Can somebody tell me also about needles 328 CF (what kind of needle-point and what kind of materials and thickness?) . Is it possible to sew leather with these needles? Hi! I got a short manual from a German Adler dealer who applies for the Adler class 105/104 with sub classes and a part list. Give me your email and I will send it to you (remember the mail format on an open forum format xxx att xxx dot xxx) I have never seen the 328 CF needles before, what make is it? The needle system 328 is for your machine and the standard needle for timing your machine is 328 LR size 200 (200 is metric = 2 millimeter, it has a left cutting point) But you can of course use any 328 needle on that machine. The thread size decides the needle size. Use new needle on your machine to avoid problems! If you want the manual just let me know! Trox

jsinger Report post Posted December 7, 2011 I have an English manual for the Adler 105-64, 38 pages. The front page states that "this manual is intended to provide rapid information to the sewing machine mechanic and to assist in the carrying out of adjustments and repairs to the machine. It is assumed that the mechanics will have a basic knowledge of dismantling and assembly of the machine. This booklet contains a brief summary of the main functions and necessary adjustments as well as hints ono othe elimination of faults." It has four sections, Techanical Info, Functions, Adjustments and Trouble-shooting. I purchased it on ebay for $20 Plus $5 shipping. I'll make you the same deal and set up a Buy Me Now Auction if you're interested. I looked high and low for the manual and finally found a seller with a machine that agreed to make me a copy. I just recently purchased my Adler and the owner didn't have one. Let me know if you are interested. I may go ahead and set up an auction as I know there are others out there looking for the same thing.

Trox Report post Posted December 9, 2011 Everybody says Original Adler parts are too expensive, I do not think so. I just bought a new complete shuttle for my Adler 105 from Dürkopp Adler Norway. The price was the same as for an aftermarket shuttle from Hirose on EBay. 189$ here in Norway (one of the most expensive country in the world) this was a part stamped Dürkopp Adler. And thanks to the new blog I found the right shuttle for my obsolete Adler class 5-27, Dürkopp Adler still have shuttles for the old class 5 and class 4. You just need the right part number and I have those numbers. I am about to start a new topic about DA spare parts and part numbers for the old classes 105, 104 , 5 and 4 with all subclasses. I will inform you about missing part numbers and changes on machines that I know of there. Trox Yes Trox, very slow.....these guys from Adler are right on top of it....they send me a seperate PDF file.....very nice!! As Trox said, lots of good info and good downloads too!!
